Service Description
This course is designed to get to know the lesser known species in Middle-Europe that are oftentimes harder to find and identify. Our aim is to learn typical calls and songs and learn about their natural habitats and behaviours. The sessions take place at various places in and around Bonn to cover diverse habitats in a short period of time. 1. Session: 7. March/9:00am/Haus der Natur, Bonn, at the main entry 2. Session: 4. April/9:00am/Haus der Natur Bonn, main entry 3. Session: 9. May/8:00/Parkplatz Restaurant zur Siegfähre 4. Session: 30. May/8:00/Sankt-Augustin-Hangelar-Ost station In the first session, we will focus on rarer tits and finches of the forest, exspecially their distinct calls. On the fourth of April, smaller trushes and woodpecker species like the Middle-Spotted-Woodpecker will be added to the list. Right next to the riverbank, the third session is all about reed warblers. Finally, species like the melodious warbler and field birds, for example the widely known skylark, will be part of our last session.
